Classic Bucket Hat

The Classic Bucket Hat is equal parts cozy and fashionable. I’m excited to release this new bucket hat pattern that is suitable any levels of knitting experience! It’s also a quick knit which is fun too :) There is one part of the pattern where you will need to fold the brim to create a bit of a sturdier structure at the base of the hat. That is the trickiest part of the pattern but I’ve included a good youtube video on how to do this in the round. The rest is straight knit and purl stitches in a fluffy boucle yarn.

This is a digital pattern and will be sent as a pdf file to your email.

Directions

The hat is worked in one piece from the
bottom up. Starting with the brim, you will work
a series of increase rows followed by a series
of decrease rows to create the shape of the
brim. You will then fold the brim in half and
fasten the live row to the cast on edge. This
creates a nice structured brim at the base of
the hat.

You then switch to US 7 needles and work the
body of the hat. Once you’ve reached the
specified height, you will work a series of
decrease rounds before cutting the yarn and
weaving the end through the remaining
stitches.
